Bought more neons last night

I had four neons in my 18 gallon that I moved to my 29 last night and bought 7 more. The older ones of mine have a dark blue stripe and the new, smaller ones have a turqouise greenish blue stripe. Is this normal?

yep, when they get older they get a little darker.

I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE NEON TETRAS THAT HAVE DIFFERENT COLORED STRIPES.

I ALSO LIKE THE SQUEAKY DOOR NOISE!!!!!!!!!!!! THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!

Neons also tend to get more color after you have them home for awhile...i don't think you will ever see them at their best in the lfs.

actually, there is a great LFS here in Chicago...i believe its called "Old Towne Aquarium"... they are some of the most expensive fish in the area, but very high quality and very pretty fish!

to give some idea, i bought my "rombo" barbs there 3 for $15(or 1 for $5.99) and my sm angels cost me 8 bones each....
