I saw these fish in my petco and I do not know if there invertebrates or not so I figured I would post here. I am thinking of getting one and am wondering if they can go well in a community tank. Will they eat plants, anything special I need to do for them? And I installed a water softener, will this effect them and will they go with a crab?

Blue Prawns/Lobsters/Crayfish/Crawfish are inverts and not a community tank animal. They will eat fish they can catch, are solitary and like to hide a lot. They may damage live plants as well though I don't think they eat them.

Won't go with crabs or anything smaller than itself, or with others of it's own kind. 20 gallon minimum tank size and make sure they have plenty of hiding spots and a warm temperature, somewhere in the mid 70's I think.
