Got one blood parrot and today she’s protecting around 15-20 baby fry . I have a few other cichlids wondering if that’s how the parrot managed to have fry . Never had a parrot have fry ever before it is extremely protective of the fry and Dosent let any other fish close . Has this happened to anyone and if so can you point me in the right direction . Do I take them out ?

What other fish do you have with her? If you want to keep all the fry you can add a divider to the tank or remove the fry. If you don’t want to keep them all I’d leave mom and the fry in the tank and let Darwinism do the rest.
