Black Widow Tetras

All evening the fish have been hiding behind the plants etc and just as I’m getting ready for bed, I turned the light off on the aquarium and suddenly they’ve come to life! A bit annoying really seeing as the whole point of a fish tank is to see your fish swimming!

However, is it possible they are like this because I only introduced them yesterday?...I hope so because I don’t have night-vision goggles

BTW they are the only fish I have at the moment


Edited: I forgot to add, is it possible the light is too bright? I have the Interpet fish box that has both a daylight light and the blue evening ones.

mine where the same when i got them, its just because they are just getting used to the tank and they only feel safe when its dark, they should stop this in a couple of days time
