Black spots

This male molly keeps developing this black spots all over his fins. Is he developing new colors or ill?

What size tank? What is your GH? You can find the GH levels at you local water providers website or you could call them
Did you test for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate?

Tankmates?

How often do you clean the tank and how much water do you change each time?

The yellow marking looks like normal coloration, but it looks like the molly has an open wound.

How long has he had the black spots?
Do the black spots come and go or are they there all the time?

How long have you had the fish for?
Have you added anything new to the tank in the 2 weeks before this started?

Do you dechlorinate any new water before adding it to the tank?

He’s been with with me for a few months (at least 3)
The back spots started on the dorsal fin then the tail. Once developed they stay..at least so far.
Nothing new has been added besides dechlorinate water.

If the spots have been there for a while and haven't changed, it is probably just colouration.
