I bought a couple of female Black Mollies on the weekend, little did I know one was pregnant. She's given birth in the main tank and the fry are getting eaten up. From what I can see there is about 5-6 left but there maybe more as they are hiding from the bigger fish otherwise they will be nothing more than breakfast. How many there where in the first place I don't know as I only just noticed.

Is there anyway I can save whats left? I don't have another tank. They are mega fast to catch.

The 6 Neon Tetra's are acting like a pack of wolves, hovering over the artificial grass where the fry are hiding. The two Platties have definetly gobbled a couple as I have seen it for myself.

Should I just let nature take its cause or should I capture what I can?

Let em take their chances if you don't have space for them fully grown, chances are there'll be many more where they came from. :good:

I think that maybe the only option, the tiddlers are in hide out and I really hope one or two of them survive. Apparently takes 4 weeks for them to big enough so aren't seen as dinner.

Fascinating to see how the Neon's are waiting among the plants to take a bite at the first opportunity.

The same happens in my tank, Its horrible to see and I cant look but its for the best sometimes because your tank will get alot fuller very quickly.

Not saying your fish will get bored but every batch of molly fry I get more and more seem to survive. Having lots of plants helps alot :good:
