Bits in tank.

Currently run a 400 litre tank with discus its sand bottomed and run an fluval fx4 on the tank.

my water has always hot floating bits in it whether I water change/ clear filter, and it’s really
Getting my down as the water is actually really clear apart from the bits

is there any I can do or purchase to help get rid of those pesky bits .

I know our filters are totally different but my internal filter comes with silly cartridges that are expensive £10 for 3 & after a week they clog up & the tank has bits floating everywhere. So i put the above wool in the cartridge insert hole & its last 3 times as long,Keeps the water cleaner than the expensive cartridges & is 80% Cheaper

I’ve gone ahead and ordered some of this wool,

it’s very good value for money compared to the fluval alternative

thanks for the suggestion.
 
Are these bits in the water or on the glass? Or both?
