its cool that u getting a 2 footer but u cant keep betta males and females together

Yeah you can't put a male and female betta together. Also you will have to cycle the tank before you put fish in it.

It sounds as if nelly has a male and female living together already at present. My aunt has a male and female betta together who are just fine. She put them together in the hopes that they would spawn but I guess they wanted to be "just friends." Normally it'd be trouble, of course, but it does depend on the individual fish...

And as far as other fish go, you could probably put like three cories in there... as long as your substrate is sand or otherwise very fine gravel.

Well this isn't a good idea because one day either the male or the female will get tired of one another and kill the other betta.

yeah agreed, its there nature to be aggressive against one another. They will kill each other sooner or later.
