Betta Plants with no care

I noticed nibbles had some kind of a plant in with his white opaque, and it started getting me interested. I want to put a plant in some kind of kritter keeper. Problem is, I don't know which plants are compatible with bettas and which ones require little sunlight.. Any help/ideas?

Java fern is usually the all-purpose low light plant.

hey, iv found that those lil plant bulbs that u buy at walmart work pretty well, they are low maintanence and the only drawback woul probably be that they take about 2 weeks to get growing real good, also stuff like java fern is pretty low maintanence to

Java fern is great, if you look in my "Wrigley" thread, you'll see Gil's new tank that has java fern on the bottom. Very nice plant and they love it

yeah i was thinking of planting some plants as well, java fern was one my top selection.

ya im currently useing java fern in my new betta setup, its a lil hard to work with because the like leaf thins get all over the tank and wen i bought them they had no roots but hopefully will work out

marmo balls need very little light
they can also be spread out like a blanket
you don't have to keep them in a ball

i bought bunch of plants a week ago, and some of them came out of their spongey thingies.. so i just scooped up a stem of cambomba and a stem of wisteria and stuck em in there...

i have no clue if they will grow or stay alive or anything.. they wont get much light.. ill have to see

whats the WPG for Java Fern cause im working with 1wpg and i want some kind of live plant for the tank im about to set up

im not sure bones but i know its not to much because people use them in tanks without hoods or direct lighting.

java moss is good, its keeps the nitrates down and grows really quick needs no light or anything to grow juz water lol

im going to be cycyling my new tank using plants in the next wk or so and im curious to know what kind of bubls you were using? I need something that will increase the growth speed of my plants- i need em to grow like little weeds!

i have green mondo grass with my betta. no light or anything and it doesnt die.

hey maui, i think u mean bubbles, but im not sure so......no i dont use bubbles, all i used in the tank there was a 10g filter system and i had a heater in ther for a while.
