Was watching our swordtails trying to mate and saw the female betta we have in our community tank swim by. She was missing one of her fins. Should I suspect fin nipping, fighting, or another problem? Should she have her own tank now? She seems ok otherwise, swims fine and all.

Honestly I would just go out and get her a tank of her own if she is coming up mutilated. I don't know how it happened or who might of been the culprit but the fact that it did happen would be enough for me to justify removing her. For her own personal safety. :)

Wife really loves Lyretail Mollies, especially the black ones.
Yeah I beleive it's the right pectorial fin

Sorry to report she passed. Found her nose down when i got home from work that morning. She showed no signs of being beaten on and never saw her harassed.
