A friend of mine has a crowntial and he seems to have lost a few scales on both sides of his body. He is in a 5G bare tank with a Pl*co. Any ideas?

More scales missing on the other side. A few missing in one bunch and one missing scale on the other side.

Here is a pic:

Just add some salt, my goldfish has lost a few scales before now nothing to worry about, just keep water quality in tip top condition.

I saw him yesterday and his other side is worse. Must have lost 10 scales on theo ther side with 5-6 in one big clump. Is it possible that the Pleco bit him?

Well this wasn't anyones fault but.....dont keep any sucker fish with a Betta. Since he is doing worse take out the pleco or Betta and give the betta some melafix to ward off any infections. And yes, add salt

Sean told me today that his Crowntial betta, Samuria Jack (Jack for short) died :byebye:
