Betta Is Acting Weird, I Think Hes Dying

So i did a big water change to my 5 gallon tank, When I added the water, I guess it was too hot, when I put him in, he went straight to the botttom, he would go to the surface and then float in the middle, he was only in there for about 1 minute, I but him in a bucket where the water is cool, what ca i do, Please help!!!!!

wait for the tank to get to the right temperature. then put him back in and put a towel over the tank or something to make it dark if you cant make the room very dark. then feed him a little before bed. i know its not proper medical advice but its all i can think of doing
