Betta Flashing Fins?

its not my betta its my little sisters and she is cleaning the tank right now and so i had to put him in my tank. my tank has 4 platy and 2 guppy. he keeps flashing or displaying? his fins even his neck fin. what does this mean? is it a warning or does he like my female fish and is showing off to them?

Bettas will flare to show off to females, but inyour case, he probably thinks that your guppies and platies are other bettas, and is threatening them. You should isolate him as soon as you can before he attacks your fish!

he's probably warning them, as they seem to look at guppies (long fins, bright colours) and platies (also bright colours) and see another betta, how long was he in there for?
