Betta Fin Rot?? I need some help!!!

I have a betta that has the signs of what i concluded is fin rot (loosing color, tattered fins and also has little white specks on tail also which i belive is ich) i have been cleaning the tank every week since i have recieved him. I have have been treating with tetracycline hydrochloride for 4 days now. today ends of fins are black and seem to be getting shorter. Is "captain" getting better or worse, if anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it! I love my fish and don't know what else to do!

It doesn't sound like he's getting better... black edges isn't a good sign. I would suggest doing 100% water changes on his tank every day until the fins stop receding. Continue treating with the Tetracycline too... that should do the trick with clean water daily. Also add a pinch of salt for him, it helps the healing. I'd suggest giving him a bit of Melafix once he starts to heal, too. Good luck!
