Hello, I have a betta named Blue and three amano shrimps in a 12 gallon. They are getting along fine with Amano even pushing Blue around when he stands in their way of cleaning. I can say that he is very well mannered and actually goes out of their way before hand, even though some times he visits them and they spend some resting time under the driftwood all together (the first time I saw it, i freaked out (LOL) thought that he was dead or something.

Anyway he is civilized (LOL), but not when it comes to food.

When I feed the betta first (betta flakes), the amanos eat his food - LOL - they are running around like crazy, stealing his flakes.

Other times when I try to feed the amanos first- betta eats their food (shrimp pellets).

So what happens actually is that most of the times  they are eating each other's food. Do you think that there a reason to worry about it in the long-term?

well it sint good to feed bettas flakes, they do better on pellets. i dont really see any problem with bettas eating the shrimp pellets as long as it isnt that much.

Flakes are not recommended to feed to bettas.  They are harder to judge how much you are actually feeding and tend to cause bloating issues.  The shrimp pellets while not as good for the betta as pellets made specifically for the betta, it will not hurt him to eat them.  I suggest you get some pellets specific for bettas and see if that helps out with the feeding issues you are having.
