I have been required to net a fish a couple of times in my short (but sweet) time of fish keeping. I find it a difficult task at times, and i was wondering what the best (i.e quickest and least stressful) tactic is, afterall it is an essential part.

Thx

use two large nets
Agree,
In my early days of fish keeping i spent lots of time chasing and stressing fish i was trying to catch. Bigs nets and two of them if you can afford it and take out large objects in the tank as it will give you more space to catce the fish.

Ha, this information was useful :D cheers lol, ive got a week working at my aquatic shop, typically in the fish area, so i will be catching fish all day for a week, haha should be fun!

i dont use a net any more as i find my fish thrash around in it... i grab a plastic bag make sure its clean (wash it with aquarium salt) and put it into the tank wait till the fish comes to see what im doing and scoop him with some water
