Hi I bought a used rio 180 on ebay and collected it today. It is very grubby. I was wondering whats the best way to clean it. I read somewhere to use warm water with some salt added but I am reluctant because it will be freshwater and I won't know if I've got all the salt out. Any advice?

Thanks
Mark

clean the tank with warm water
and aquarium salt and just rinse
well the amount of salt left behind
will be minuscule and will not
affect any future inhabitants

Try lying it on its sides, one side per night and leave white vinegar standing in a pool all across where the white is. Another thing (may be quicker to try) is to rub those areas with lemon and/or lime using the fresh rind as a rubbing surface on the calcium stains, then leave it wet with the citrus juice overnight. There are even more extreme things that can be tried and sometimes it is still impossible to get completely off.
