What are the best type of water test kits?
I have seen the strips, just dip in water for two seconds. I like the idea of these, but are they as accurate as other methods?

Any thoughts would be great!

Thanks

Hi,

Strips are very inacurate, go far the liquid ones where you fill a test tube with water and add drops. If it's the first time you are buying them get ammonia, nitrIte, nitrAte and pH, the others you can buy later if you think you'll need them.

Emma :) :hi:

Strips often "bleed" and readings are not reliable.

API does a fantastic liquid range - great value for money as well as easy to use / read results.

I bought the API master test kit that is available at "pets at home" in the UK.. this one seems to be used fairly heavily by members on here. The common consensus is that the dip strips are not too accurate.

I think they are about £6 each from pets at home.
