Hi,

I am looking to put some acropora frags in my tank and wondered where would be the best position for them.

Thanks for any advice.

acros need a loit of light. So they need o be up high. They like quite strong flow.

Have you tried to keep less demanding SPS yet like montis? i would reccomend you try these first.

Halides and a minimum of 30X flow are usually reccomended for acros

for acros i'd check your calc/alk/magnesium too because they won't thrive without proper levels of those too. Probably won't die, but won't turn into the awesome looking thing you want either!

I think they COULD do alright under less than MH's depending how tall your tank is and how close to the top you put them.

Yeah, they usually colour up better under stronger lighting though
