I have currently got 2 Angelfish, 2 Moonlight Gouramis, 3 Black Widow Tetras and 4 X-ray tetras. I had a couple of small bristlenoses, and they were managing to keep on top of the algae quite well. The problem is they have both died now, so I was wondering what to get to replace them. I have already noticed a build up of algae on my plants and rocks, so I need something that will eat lots of algae. Any suggestions?

Sorry, forgot to say that. It's a reasonably small tank, about 15 gallons. The tank length is 2 foot.

Thanks, I'll have to see what they have at my lfs when I go at the weekend, I may just end up getting some more bristlenoses, since they did a good job and were quite nice.

Try swapping the Moonlight gouramis for a smaller species while you are at the LFS - moonlights grow to over 8".

I've had mine for over a year now, and they were growing at the start but seem to have stopped at around 5". I'm thinking of selling one anyway, since it is being bullied by the other.

Rubbernoses get to more like 5", mine is around 3" so 2" can't be right.

i actualy ment to say 3 inches didn't check want i was writing. my 2 were 3 inches but didn't grow any bigger in 3 years so...... i duno about 5 inches though.

:good:
