So now that I have my refugium all set and going, Im wanting to start to work on my "reef tank". i have one small colony of star polyps, which are doin fine and starting to grow more, but what else is pretty good for a beginner/novice. im looking for some cool colorful corals/soft polyps, which can make my tank that reef feel. let me know

hey, so ur obviously just after softies which is a good start.
Try out these:
Yellow fiji toad stool coral.
Toadstool coral
Mushrooms- blue, blue stripped, geen stripped etc
Colt coral
Bush coral
finger coral
devils hand.
Pulsing xenia
Button polyps
Pussey coral

There are a few more but cnt remember them all.
hope they help!

Dont forget zooanthids, they're easy to keep. You might also want to try your hand at a Euphylla species (hammer, frogspawn, bubble, torch, or galaxea). They're pretty hardy corals and dont require much care other than to keep them away from softies (they have strong stings).
