The water is yellow because of the wood has only been in for about 1 or 2 weeks

nice looking tanks, better now you've got rid of that nasty looking clam(very fake). they look really colourful and healthy!

they are guppy fry so cute! they are getting a few colours now.

With the clam thing it came with the tank (got it off ebay) and it was still set-up when we took it home. I never liked it but my mum thought it looked nice.

after putting in the wood how long do you think the water would stay yellow?
i do once a week water changes sometimes its more about 20%

Really nice looking tank, so much better than before The water will be yellow for quite sometime. I've changed my gravel to vocalnic soil. This soil is super cool, it made the water crystal clear especially when used with under-gravel filter. And when I put drift wood in the tank, it doesn't turn yellow at all.
