Hi
One of my Harlequin Rasboras got stuck in the filter casing. I don't know how long it was there for. I got it of by turning the filter off. It is swimming quite wobbly. Is there anything I can do to help it.

You have to be prepared that fish in situations like this often don't make it. But keeping your water pristine via frequent water changes (always with good technique where you gravel clean the water out and roughly temperature match and condition the fresh tap water) during the recovery period is one of the best things you can do. Ammonia and nitrite(NO2) should of course be zero ppm and nitrate should stay hopefully not more than 15 or 20ppm above tap level nitrate if possible. If the fish becomes ill in some way, such as having fungus, it is better to have it in a hospital tank (and of course if you have one you could set up then sooner would be better than later.) You can also post in our emergencies section for more specific help as particular symptoms emerge.

ps good luck!
