Barrel pond (delayed soo many months lol)

so i am doing this thing...

My mom does not want to put pond liner in it, but i strongly advise to have it.....
is this source reliable?
what do you all think
(my mom's friends all just keep plants in the barrel like lotus, not fish, so she's not sure)
and i don't know if we are looking at the article from a biased point of view...
anyway!!
the journey begins!!

week of 7/11
the lotus seeds will arrive.
found a nice plant store on ebay (cheap+ maybe quality, a lot of the reviews say so)
plus some rose and plumeria
and a mystery seeds!!!, a gift from the store owner.

that’s so exciting!! you should maybe grow the “mystery seeds” in another pot or jar, so you can ID the plant to make sure it’s fish safe.

it most likely isnt a lotus.
the store mostly seelss seeds like flowers like roses and vegetables like corn in bulk....
$3 for like 1000 seeds!!!!!!!!
i got 5 rose seeds for $5
plus all the seeds come in little zip bags with labels and care instructions
no need to worry!

You can paint a pond sealer on the inside of the pond if you don't want to use a pond liner.

If it's a small barrel, a water lotus might be a bit big.

that's fine, there's two of them...
but we ordered 13...
not like all seeds will sprout in the 10 pack though
theres a 3 pack with the big ones
