well today i finally got up enough enthousiasm to take out ALLL the gravel in my 20G convict tank, i did it because the fry werent surviving in the gravel, and ya i think this will work alot better, is there anyhting i should shouldnt do? like leave some gravel in a sock or something for bacteria?

Unless you were using an undergravel filter, you will be fine.



Bare bottomed is the way to go

no i have a hob filter, i think bare bottom will work good for this tank
