Banana Plants

Hi everyone.
I bought banana plants the other day for my croaking gouramis. I only have one to start with because I've heard they're a little tougher than your average aquatic plant like Amazon Swords.
And they're right - it's been less than a week and I'm already watching my leaves turn colors and form brown spots/holes in the leaves. It seems like it won't survive much longer under these conditions. I have been adding "API Leaf Booster" and just started adding "Seachem Flourish Excel". Is there anything else I should do to save the plant? I LOVE banana plants!

My banana plant leaves are constantly turning brown, but a new one pops up to replace them every time....you may not see new growth yet, but a new leaf can sprout up overnight...the leaves grow extremely fast
