USA,
so today i went to petsmart 2 get some plants for my tank. my brother wanted a banana plant so i got him1. what's the point of it? do the fish eat it?

what are those "bananas" used for? is there a point 2 them basicaly?

They're just a plant. Although sometimes they will occasionally send a stem shooting (and I mean shooting -- like 4" / day) to the surface, where they'll grow a leaf similar to a lily pad.

seroulsy? that sounds odd. i thought that they were like fish food.

Well, the ones I've seen in chain store tanks usually have no leaves, so they just look like a bunch of small bananas. However, that's really only part of the plant.

Take a look.
