So I have 2 balloon rams. I have had them for almost a year now. They are full grown and I thought I had to males. Now I think I have 2 females. I know these guys are suppose to be easy to sex right but mine are freaks.
OK so one has a black spot BUT the spot has blue in it. I have read that means female. They both have long dorsal rays that made me think males. No pink bellies like some females get.

Here is the one with the Spot. But the spot has some blue in it if you look closely at it. Also with long 2 dorsal rays. Just too today.

What do you think? They get along fine together. One likes to bully the other but not all the time. Some times they are buddies other times the one with the spot picks on the one without the spot.
At first I thought they were a pair because they stuck together. Then the one with the spot started bullying the other one. So then I thought they were 2 males. NOW I am thinking maybe 2 females. I don't know any more these fish are confusing me.
