This guy must have come in with our ghost shrimp shipment and got put in the plant tank where I spotted him today. At first I thought he was a madtom, but nope, just a bullhead fry (I think.) We put him in a tank where he'd be more easily visible to customers, but after having multiple kids ask about him all day and nearly take him home, I decided maybe it was best if he went with me... he's way too temptingly cute, and not really a suitable aquarium fish for most folks, which is a bad combination for him. I'm gonna let him live in my tanks until he gets a good size, then my dad will take him and release him into their neighbor's pond... no worries, they already said they won't mind, and he is a native species :)
Way cute, anywho. He was free at that, since we didn't actually order him in the first place :p

He looks great! Keep a record of size, he'll get big very fast.

Very cool, I like it when fry have nice colours at young ages. Never had anything bigger than a guppy grow up to an adult on me yet, two mollies have developed orange, but it wasn't really noticeable as it is just a similar shade to their fry colour.
