My Amazon sword recently sprouted very long tendrils, and then 'baby' plants have grown from buds along it's length. I read you can take these babies and plant them for new plants... but I couldn't find any information about how to go about doing this.
The new plants look like this currently; are the roots big enough to sustain them away from the main plant? Do I just snip the tendril either side of it to take them off?

(my Angel loves getting in all my photos, heh)

This happend with mine and all i did was peel or cut the plant away from the stem and plant it. The plants i got are growing great.

Thanks :) The tendrils were getting a bit out of control (three of them nearly completely looping the tank) so I cut them all off and trimmed the best baby plants from them. Replanted them, so hopefully they'll do ok :)

You can also layer them byt planting them in the substrate, letting them get a hold and then just snip the 'umbilical cord' so to speak.

Plants look really healthy! My Amazon Swords are jut starting to recover from strangely dying back.

:good:
