Azolla Fairy Moss

Hi all,

I have some Azolla fairy moss (as a bit of a change) but it doesn't seem to be doing to well (other than shedding roots to clog my filter intakes!) the tank is at room temp, with white clouds, and I've just added 3 ramshorns snails.

I really want decent floating plant cover to stop the white clouds being tempted to jump (theyve been getting frisky and keep trying to spawn). I've had good success with water lettuce before, but there seems to be a shortage here at the moment!

I'm also tempted by riccia asa floating plant, does anyone else employ it?

This is an old thread, I know, but I have just put some azolla in my tank and it is doing well BUT is also shedding roots and clogging my filter intake. I just wondered, does azolla continue to do this or is it just when its moved to a new environment?
