Hey, I just got 3 Axelrose Blue Rasbora Tetras from my lfs, and the guy there told me they were brand new species. They are full grown and only about 1/4 of an inch long, and kind of see through with a blueish tint on their backs. If anyone has any info on these, I'd love it becuase currently, im trying to find out the food they like, ext. The store just feeds them generic tropical fish food, however there are a ton of cherry shrimp and ghost shrimp in the tank. They had all of these guys in a long, shallow heavily planted aquarium... so if y'all have any tips please tell me :)

rasboras are a cyprinind and tetras are a characine
there is no way you can have a rasbora tetra.

any chance of a photo so we can id it for you.
I'm thinking you have a Sundadanio axelrodi 'blue'

Dates back to 1976 evidently, but may just be 'new' to the LFS?

that looks like it, and i just realise i wrote axelrose.... heh im sure he discovers tons of fish  lol ANYWAYS.... i guess the guy at the LFS isnt as smart as i had hoped... he told me they had just discovered them and that no one knew much about them... oh well atleast theyre staying fairly small... ive got them by themselves in a 3 gallon tank, but theres a pretty strong current running though it and theyre constantly swimming agist it but they seem to kinda like it? i duno...

  Well Guns 'N Roses hasn't been doing much in the past decade or so, it could be entirely possible that Mr. Axelrose is off discovering new rasbora species. Perhaps he has hobbies? He could be on TFF right now!
