Hi guys, my african tank has a female auratus who is decent (in cichlid terms ;) ) to her tank mates, but chases other Auratus to their death. Are they meant to live one per tank or do I just have a particularly aggressive one? Would she be the same to other females? I've only tried males, and they generally don't last one night :/ Thanks for your help

females are very aggressive, territorial and intolerant of their own species. sounds like she has already been established as the bully of the tank, which is common with them. you could try removing her from the tank for a bit and adding a group of them to the established tank. let them get settled and then add her back in.
