I'm not David either, but those would look superb in his tank!!!
How big do those Trimacs get VIP???

VIP how much do the Trimac fry sell for? How big are they?

Could you post a link to the jeff rapps site you were talking about.

That fish is awesome.

Can you only keep those with their own kind or can they go in with other tropicals, RTBS, neons etc?

To everyone who wants one:
Trimacs are one of the more fast and skilled preds of the Cichlid family. The tend not to pick on other cichlids but once they have been the other fish is more likly to end up dead as they have a very short temper, thats why it would be wise to have them with such a cichlid as the Midas (Posted), Red Devil, Jaguar or any other cichlid witch can stand up for its self and not back down or wimp away from it. A fish like this alone needs at least a tank of 75g by its self meaning no other tank mates as they reach upto a size of 14". If you get the cichlid bug like most people do and you want more of them i suggest a tank size of no less than 100g+ you might think this is pointless seeing you have a tank with only 2 or 3 fish in it but think of it this way, imagine 2 large cichlids at 14" swimming around that tank who interact with you and are also highly smart. They make good tank mates with most catfish but tend to fight with there own kind after 8".
If you wish to more about them or any other New World Cichlid please dont be afriad to ask as i will give you the best advise i can.

Now for the fry of the Trimac.
They can be found at http://www.tangledupincichlids.com/ you will see this fish there and yes, that Trimac posted is also for sale. Send him an e-mail and ask him if he has any at the moment.
PS: That trimac is also wild caught, its not from your lfs, it did come from the river.

How about this mix then.

Barred Midas
Trimac
And this baby, a female Red Terror
