As the title says..

Can anyone please suggest a good co2 mist atomizer as im really not happy with my current diffuser.
Thank you

Which one do you currently have Slim ?

I have this one, http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/easy-aqua-super-mist-atomiser-large-p-5572.html

Which will be unused middle of next week as i am getting an inline diffuser. Works a treat though.

I currently have a spiral glass difuser. Looks great but very poor diffusion.
Do you want to sell me yours?
Whats it like??
How comes your trading in for an inline??

This is what i have now

i also use the same as LP, i'm not to happy with it though. I'm now one my second within 3 months as the seal has gone for the second time around. I have ordered a proper UP Bazooka from Hong Kong this time around though. When they work, they work really well though, you do need a higher Bar to run one on though.

I just bought an external filter so now that i can clear my tank a little of equipment i thought why not :) That is the only reason.

The atomizer is great very fine mist but does need at least 2 bar pressure to work.

If your willing to wait till i have my in line setup im happy to sell it on to you. My new inline is coming from aqua essentials but they are closed till monday so i am hoping that i will get it by wed/thursday.

Iv just been looking at the up bazooka but they look like they are designed for Ehiems and i have a fluval.
Otherwise i would get one.
The atomizer LP suggested is the kinda diffuser i was thinking of getting, but youve kinda put me off now

Yea definately. How much posted??
Do they not work at all below 2bar?? Or just dont work well?

2 Bar is really the lowest running pressure with not a lot of diffusion. I run mine around 2.3.

£7 posted ? Its around 2 month old Never had any issues with it.

I run a DIY setup so the same may not apply for you but I don't see why not. I have external canister filters also. Why not just run airline into the filter inlet? The filter inlet will do the rest? It's one of the most efficient ways to dissolve the CO2.

Do you mean feed the co2 tubing into my filters intake so it dissolves in the filter?
Hmmmmm Thats a good idea execpt my filters outlet is right at the waters surface causing surface agitation.
Will i not lose co2 this way as its being dispersed at the surface??

Yes, a canister filter is completely enclosed so the CO2 is fed into the inlet through the bottom grate thingy, is sucked into the canister and chopped up by the impeller into much finer bubbles which dissolve far more efficiently. HOB filters won't work because they are open systems. My outlet is perhaps...and inch and a half below the water's surface. I've angled the two piece inside so that I do get surface agitation and it also blows into the tank. There are no bubbles that come out since the CO2 is dissolved inside the canister.

Here's a link to the equipment efficiencies of diffusing and a picture to show my outlet.

Thats a great idea, cant believe i didnt think of it before.
2 more questions tho... Iv got a Fluval 405 so the co2 will have to go through 2 sets of sponges and my bio media before it gets chopped up by the impeller, is there a chance i could get some co2 build up inside my filter? I understand that can be a bad thing.
Also if i feed the co2 tubing down the intake, couldnt that cause the pipe to clog?
Or am i over thinkin this?
