My poor Queenie girl.. I left my window open a crack and the neighbours cat tore the screen open and knocked the lids off of my two tanks, one being Queens and the other being Festers. The cat was fishing around Queens bowl and I guess somehow she must have jumped out and landed in Festers.. well you can guess what happened. I came home to a very upset, painful fin damaged girl and a very angry male who was knocking her about like a foosball.

I quickly scooped her up and put her in a clean jar with fresh water and a bit of java moss. I've added a tige of salt and some melafix.

That's a picture of her now. You can see a picture of what she looked like before it happened in my sig.

She's still curious and spirited like her old self, but I can't imagine how bad it must feel to have half your tail and anal fin ripped away.

Well at least she's still alive, she could have jumped the wrong way and been eaten by the cat. It's surprising how quickly fins heal up with melafix

Thanks everyone. She seems to be doing better, the remains of her tail look longer lol but that's probably just me.
