Hello, ok so i have this problem. I have a arowana in my tank and its about 6 in. When i first got it it ate right away and for the first couple of days he was eating fine. Now, all of a sudden he stops eating and is inactive during the day. He also swims funny and shakes like he is having a seizure sometimes. What could this be? Please help me this is a really expensive fish! Thanks, Alex

A common problem with them is that they jump and slam their heads against the lid and cause injury to themselves.

He said it was a 75g
Doubt it's big enough for an arowana, then.

Not going at just size, but as said above, it might have ran into the glass or banged on the hood and hurt itself.

Without more info I can't really say what's causing the issues, though.

In Anything less than a 6x2x2 Arowana will suffer, and in anything under a 7x3x3 Arowana will not thrive, simple as that really,

You cannot appreciate the speed these fish will grow at if given adequate housing, but also you can't underestimate the levels of problems you will face if the tank is not adequate.

being inactive, stopping eating, and skakes would all suggest a water quality issue,
