Are my scuds dead or they molted?

Water I took was from their own river so I don't think this would cause them to die and there is nothing else big enough to take down an 1cm scud, however temperature is quite high in my vase, but everything else is happy.

Would it be normal for them to molt during their first day and night in new environment?

How does their molt look like?

Are you sure? It's an empty shell and from what I know they tolerate ammonia pretty well..
And their soil in the vase is their own soil from river they live in so.
 
I think you're right. I saw a dead one 100%..
I'm pretty sure that I saw some clear baby ones yesterday. What about those ones? Could something actually survive? What do you think @Colin_T ?
 
I have plenty of scuds in my shrimp tank and they are pretty active but I have heater set at 74.5 and filter running. Molt just looks clear and does not last long since they and the shrimp eat it quickly. I have lots of floating plants too that they like to go into beside the gravel.
