Last Saturday (so three days ago) I made a DIY CO2 kit for my aquarium and let it go to work. I've got a steady stream of bubbles coming out now (although it seems a bit slow) and now today I've noticed that a bunch of my plants have bubbles all over them and some plants are releasing a steady stream of tiny bubbles. Is this a good thing and/or related to the CO2?

Yes it's great, and yes it's related. To my understanding, pearling basically means that your plants are producing so much oxygen that the water is fully saturated with it. So, the oxygen can't diffuse into the water as usual, so it forms a bubble instead.

It's basically a sign of healthy plants, and I've heard it only really happens in tanks that utilize co2
