I have a snakeskin guppie and his tail is getting pretty messed up. It looks like my other fish are eating it (I only have guppies in the tank)
Is this something I should worry about? Are they trying to kill him? I just saw one of my females go up to him and peck at him a couple of times.
I know tails grow back, but this seems to be something that has just recently started and i'm wondering if it's because of the lack of food I have to feed them (The rest of the fish seem fine, even the ones with big fancy tails)
The reason I can't feed them is because the nitrite level is high in the tank and i was told it was due from overfeeding. The fish store told me to feed them a pinch every other day and we just did a water change (about 30%) and i'm feeding them a pinch everyday because i don't want them to eat each other.
