The furry kind, not the fishy kind, 'cos my little furball just demonstrated her jealousy of my new fishies by trashing their food cupboard and eating half a packet of algae wafers.

Please don't tell me the cat's gonna get stringy poo........ Do you guys think I should do a vet run, or wait and see?

don't worry about it. he may get the runs, but he'll be fine. my dog ate an entire packet once. she's also eaten an entire packet of freeze dried bloodworms......ewwwwwww.

My cats have eaten them before, with no ill effects. Having said that, my cats also eat crisps, Chilli con carne, indian, and chinese, so they may have the stomach for it!!!!

Cool, thanks guys, I'll stop worrying. Seems like the poor plecs are really getting a bad deal now, cos as well as the mollies eating their wafers, they're gonna hafta fight furball too! I'm gonna have to be careful with the Delicia stuff too, cat's been known to eat her way through 3 thicknesses of carrier bags and foil to get to goodies!

... How is that in any way relevant to the subject at hand?

I'm guessing your cat will be fine. I don't have any other pets besides my tropical fish. :D

I discovered that one of my two cats loves fish Tetra fish flakes. I talked to my vet about this and she said the cat will have no trouble with these. She, of course, doesn't think I should feed my cat TetraMin fish flakes, but she did say that as an occassional treat, he would be fine. He knows now that when I ask him if he wants to ''Feed the fishies" that he is also getting a treat and runs to wait for me at "his" tank.
