Aquatic Plants

I'm going to be doing a massive overhaul of my aquarium in the next couple of months and before I do it, I want to be clued up on planted tanks, how to grow plants, plant profiles and how to provide the nutrients/light/conditions they need etc. I'm also looking to implant some soil underneath my gravel and maybe install some kind of CO2 system.

I've been looking for some literature online but I can't really find any decent looking books on the topic. There are some but they have bad reviews.

I'm just wondering whether anyone can recommend a book that will cover the content that I'm looking for?

Any personal suggestions are also very welcome.

i dont know of any book but what type of look do you want at the end?

if you want a certain look there is probably a plant for it

Ok I want to make a planted tiger barb tank with a red tail shark in it, but every time I put plants with tiger barbs they eat them, are there any plants that they don't like? How do I get them to not eat them?

I have Five Banded Barbs Minnnt (3n's)
