anyone know of any cheap and good aquascaping books which i can use for inspiration, ive seen the ada ones but they seem highly over priced.

Quality and cheap don't tend to go together, when it comes to aquarium-related literature.

I have never bought a book for anything to do with aquarium related things. Its just one persons view, possibly more but usually wrote by one. I find the internet far more useful once you dredge through all the rubbish.

as above, 'the complete works' by Takshi Amano...tis like a bible to many aquascapers.

There are also his Aquajournals that you can buy

but you're better of buying this, this is where i got mine from, with free shipping as well. It's a must if you're into planted tank.

thanks for the input everyone i might buy that book "nature aquarium complete works", although it pains me to spend £30 on a book :)

the thing is Creg, if you ever gave up the hobby, you'd get at least £20 for it anyways if you stuck it on Ebay.

Yes, good aquarium related books rarely loose their value, I have found. If you're worried about the cash, why don't you buy a second hand one?
