I want to paint the back of my tank but I won't be able to carry it all the way down the stairs, and to the garden to spray paint it. Is there a type of paint thats safe that I can use a roller with to paint?

That was I can just open all my bedroom windows and do it that way.

I only ask as the aqurium backing is bloody useless, perfect colour, but useless.

i usually use tile paint, but its a bit smelly as its oil based. so if the tanks full id not. id try something like a water based non drip satin, usually needs more than one coat though, being water based it will smell a lot less, but is cleaned by water too...so you would have to be careful with spillages etc.

I just used Crown Royal Blue imullsion with a sponge roller no diffrent to painting the room needs 3 coats to be good :)

While the fish are in QT I am going to swap substrates so the tank will be empty, so it will be dry to paint.

How have you found the emulsion paint? It doesn't come off or anything?

Nope its what I was given by my LFS to do the painting with its what they use

never tried emulsion before, it is water based though, so could technically wash off if you spill on it...has the advantage of bein easy to change though aswel i guess
