Aquamanta Filters

Hi all,
 
I guess a few of you will have these? What do you think about them?
 
I cannot get rid of fines with them, my tank is awful. I have 2x efx200's running and its just ridden with fines. I've turned one basically into a wool filter and it doesnt make any difference. Guess its all just passing up the sides?

I have 2 of these, the largest and the next size down, love them!!

I have the floss in the top tray for polishing the water, they both clear up the water brilliantly

I mostly run Aquamanta filters and have the same problem in a couple of the tanks.  I have begun to suspect design too.

So odd that for some people they are fine and others not.

I'm using spray bars, what about other people?

I've even ensured that no plants are covering the inlets, but it doesn't make a difference.
