Aqua Ap3 So Loud!

Hi ya, I have a Interpet Aqua AP-3 pump, its used to be not that loud till this morning, now its stupidly loud! I've tried putting a sock under it but still stupidly loud. any ideas? cheers

Where I have the interpet internal power filter. I've turned off the air pump and made the pump to pump air bubbles, so this will hopefully last.

I have a 64ltr tank, so don't think its essential to use the air pump do you?

you'd probably be better off putting this question to the people in the hardware and Do It Yourself section, as they'll be more familiar with equiptment issues.

Oh right cheers, well found out the problem for the air pump so thats sorted. Just wondering about using just my filter for getting enough air in?

edit: just incase anyone else gets this problem. It was inside that one of the screws had snapped the plastic so was hitting the vibrating bits inside.
