Aponogeton Crispus

I bought a nice large A. crispus but it has been developing flowers, and I see some of the leaves turning yellow now. I have read somewhere that aponogetons go into a dormant stage. Is this what will happen now that the plant is flowering?

Only certain aponogetons need this 'break' from aquatic life, and i'm 99% sure that the crispus isn't one of them. They are one of the plants that flower whatever the conditions as well. Trim the old leaves and the flowers as well. Keep an eye on it and keep us updated.
