Api Test Kit Ph

This might sound a silly question today i binned my test strips so i when to buy the API test liquid. My silly question is in the set there are two bottles of pH liquids one pH test solution and the other is high range pH test solution, which one do i use to test my fish tank water and tape water? I might be reading the information wrong in booklet. But i use both of them this morning and on the pH is 7.6 and on the high Ph test i get a reading of 7.4? Help a silly guy out

i use the normal one, but if its at its highest (blue i think) i then retest using the High PH one

I am "newbie" myself, but my guess is that your pH is probably between 7.4 -7.6 then. I was advised to test the regular pH, too, but I didn't realise that I should have tried the high pH, as well. All along I thought my pH was 7.6, when it actually was about 8.

Well we all learn even people that have been fish keeping are still learning different Methods as things keep change with the times.
