Bought this toadstool off a guy yesterday - I saw that it had a pinky colouration when it wasn't extended, but today its fully out but the pink patch has gone a sort of coraline algae colour. Its not coraline as it's not hard or doesn't feel raised. From what I can see its just a change of colour.

Although I feel that it isnt good as no polyps are extended in the pink area.

Any help would be great! Cheers

Soft corals often take a while to settle in and extend fully, even as much as a couple of weeks sometimes. If the closed area hasn't sustained any damage, just keep an eye on it for a few days. It may open partially in different configurations as it adapts to the flow it's in.
