Hi there, I bought this plant a couple of weeks ago...

Well since last week its suddenly started shedding its leaves like theres no tomorrow! Ive now taken it out and it was just a stick in the end, but would like to know what it is to understand why it didn't take to my tank.
My cory's liked to hide under it so I would like to get another if I can accommodate it properly and thought it looked lovely with the white on it.
If people don't know what it is, can anyone suggest something similar thats quite hardy? As some plants just won't live in my tank!!

Thanks.

It's non-aquatic, I'm guessing you got it at Maidenhead aquatics?

Oh no! Really? How do you know?
And no, I got it from a pet shop that I don't normally use, but my usual one was waiting for a delivery of plants so I thought I'd check out this place!

SBS is correct, it non aquatic, its a kind of Fittonia verschaffeltii.

How annoying!! Will it have done any damage to my tank?
And do you know of an aquatic plant that looks familiar at all?

Chances are, if it's variegated then it isn't fully aquatic.

Some Crpyts might have a similar shape.
Echinodorus 'Aquartica' if it's well trimmed.
